We are seeking two Academic Support Interventionists starting in the 2023-24 school year. Interventionists will work with small groups of students on targeted skills in reading, writing, and math. Teaching experience (K-6) required. NH Teacher Certification preferred. Up to 29 hours per week, rate of pay is per hour with no benefits.

This is an ideal position for a person who is passionate about teaching and enjoys working with small groups of students but wants to step back from a full classroom teaching position to work fewer teaching hours while still positively impacting students' lives.

General Purpose:

Tutors plan for and deliver supplemental instruction in one or more given areas of the curriculum.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position:

• Provide academic support and study skills intervention to support the individual student.
• Teach and model active learning and study strategies
• Consult with teachers, counselors, administration, parents 
• Maintain a positive and productive working relationship with students
• Keep accurate records of student attendance and progress
• Must comply with all SAU 70 District policy and building / department rules, procedures, practices and objectives.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree 
• Two to Four (2-4) years of relevant experience
